december sketches

Here are some sketches from this month, I was very self-reflective and drew a page of myself. Also included are my renditions of the Magnus Rodain character from Northlanders Vol. 2 series, and a refined concept of my Vulcan (alien) character.....throw in some random WWII sketches (compliments of me playing COD: World at War) and you got one pretty productive week.....I hope to keep it up :)

Enjoy the New Year

Cheers,

E

Herr Wolf

Here is a comic cover for a werewolf I had in mind.......the rendering came out pretty good but proportions are a bit off and I think the lead I used was too soft.

Hellboy!

I recently watched Hellboy II: The Golden Army, it was to say the least a visual treat......I created these face concepts as an homage.

works of art for may-june 2009

Finally my submission for a monthly contest on the website wwww.sketchtheater.com, the theme was Chupacabra and I couldn't resist......for those of you not familiar with that......they are creatures that prey on goats, sucking them dry of thier blood, hence goat suckers or Chupacabras, heres how I see them............and finally a colored pencil self-portrait of me taken from a photograph.

works of art for may-june 2009 continued

I recently read From Hell written Alan Moore and illustrated by Eddie Campbell.....it was a good read, a lot deeper than what I had expected but a good read nonetheless. These tho images were inspired by it........first is a refined drawing showing our villian Jack the Ripper surprising his prey.......then I sketch the characters in my style based on the designs from the original artist.

Here are the designs for my internship at Forever Interactive, the character is Culculainn, a mythological Celtic warrior. The first one is still a work in progress.....
